About

After graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC in 2014, I went on to work in restaurants like ABC Kitchen and The Nougatine by Jean-Georges. The majority of my culinary career was spent working with food media brands like Bon Appetit, The Kitchn, and more. My recipes and editorial work have been published by The New York Times, Bon Appetit, The Today Show, Food52, and Food & Wine Magazine. I’ve held almost every job in the food space from chef, editor, food stylist, recipe developer, video host, and a Michelin inspector. See my culinary work at ameliarampe.com

In 2023, I completed my Yoga Teaching Certification RYT-200hr from Centered Yoga in Ko Samui, Thailand which focused on Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, and meditation. In addition to breathwork and meditation classes, I teach both Vinyasa and Restorative styles.

My life long relationship with astrology has expanded over the years from a hobby to a serious educational pursuit including studying under legendary evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest at the FCEA. I offer birth chart, current sky readings, synastry readings, and more.

Why “Diwata Sanctuary”? Pulling from my Visayan heritage, Diwata in Filipino mythology refers to deities, goddesses, nature spirits, fairies, and nymphs. My intention is for this space to be a place for your spirit to find sanctuary in healing practices that are nurturing from the inside out. From learning how to prepare and execute delicious meals to guiding you through yoga asana practice customized just for you, to helping you find stillness through meditation and breath work, and grow deeper self awareness through understanding your birth chart.
